Michigan Intrasquad!! :)

Michigan's Gymnastics Team competed at an intrasquad in the Crisler Center this weekend against Eastern Michigan University. Although scores were never made official, it seems as if Michigan won the meet. The videos can be found by the link below:

Highlights from the meet:

-Nicole Artz performed a phenomenal Bar routine!!
-Both Lauren Marinez and Emma McLean added two more events than they competed last year,to the competition this meet.
-Freshmen Lexi Funk competed all aroun.
-Recently injured Polina Schenikova competed vault and beam!!
-Upgraded vaults were shown across the board!!
-Eastern Michigan had some strong beam routines also.
-It was an overall successful meet!!

The Michigan Men's team also competed this weekend, however, access to the material was limited (other than snapchat stories which did seem to show that they were doing great, especially on floor), and therefore, I do not know all that much about how the intrasquad for the boys went. However, thankfully season is quickly approaching and we will soon get a look at how the girls and boys will do on the big stage. The men will compete at the Windy City Ivintational on January 14th and the women will face Utah at Utah on the week prior. This year seems as if it should fit out nicely for Michigan's gymnastics teams and I will do what I can to keep you guys updated!!
